House Box takes you back to school
A couple of months ago, I received my first House Box subscription box in the mail. (Check out that post here). This month, the theme was "Back to School." Here's a look inside:
Snack Pack Reusable Sandwich and Snack Bags
These bags are BPA-, lead-, and phthalate-free, making them the ideal choice for packing a litterless lunch for your kids (or yourself!) They are very sturdy and well made, the kind of thing that will stand up to many washings (and the not-so-careful hands of children opening and closing them!). Wash by hand, in the dishwasher, or in the washing machine!
Both the snack size and the sandwich size bags are available in several colours. Check out the House Box Shop here for other options.
Fox Run Brands Tea Kettle Descaler
When I first opened the box, I had no idea what this little thing was. (That's why I am so glad that House Box always includes a card with a list and description of all of the items contained in the box). If you are a tea drinker, you probably know that your kettle can accumulate sediment and scaling. Although this little mesh ball isn't designed to remove sediment, it is very effective at preventing the buildup of sediment over time. Such a simple solution to a common problem! The Soap Exchange - Envirowash
The Soap Exchange is a Canadian company that has been in business for 23 years. This laundry soap is very concentrated (the company doesn't believe in having you pay for water when you can add it yourself!) and it smells wonderful! Any of you who were kids in the 80s will probably understand this reference: It smells to me like the powder in Fun Dip candy - fruity and fresh! I for one would love to have my clothes smell like that. Wouldn't you? Check out their full product offerings at www.victoriasoapexchange.com/
Detour Coffee Rosters - Los Noranjos Columbian Coffee
Roasted just a few days before being shipped, this coffee is the epitome of freshness! This portion is very generous! The tasting notes are described as "spiced cola, grapefruit, vanilla and stewed fruit." Check out more about this company and their coffees at www.detourcoffee.com.
